Time Capsule and Spot Light and not shutting down
Apple you seriously need to fix the issue with spotlight trying to index my time capsule drive. Please just put an option to exclude external disks in the backup.
That being said mds process will disable your macbook’s ability to sleep as well as internet sharing.
You can find out if time capsule is ruining your macbook by running the following in terminal:
mdutil -sa
$ mdutil -sa
/Volumes/Time Machine/Backups.backupdb:
Indexing enabled.
/:
Indexing enabled.
/Volumes/Time Machine:
Indexing enabled.
